Sol Bungalows is truly a hidden gem! The reviews are all accurate, and everything is even more spectacular than pictured! (no surprises they have a perfect score!). Drew and Kiki were so welcoming and communicative from the time we landed till our departure. They helped coordinate a water taxi for us to get to the place, to go to other locations, etc (with great recommendations based on our preferences too). Their local menu is fantastic, and totally worth the price (felt gourmet almost!), drinks were amazing and fresh, plus the location cannot be beat! The villas are literally on the water as pictured, felt private, yet you had the freedom to jump into the sea at any point. Borrowing the shared kayaks and paddle boards was a nice plus. They really did think of everything as far as amenities go too, it was so clean and perfect for a few nights stay. Would give 10 stars if possible! We will for sure be back!

My husband and I honeymooned at Sol Bungalows and enjoyed it thoroughly. Drew, Tamara, Kiki, and the additional staff were spectacular. 10/10 recommend. Whether you want to stay in, or go out and explore, there was always something going on. We stayed for 12 days and got to experience rainy stormy days and fully hot hot days and we were pleased to get a taste of both. We saw sloths, red tree dart frogs, bottlenose dolphins, howler monkeys, starfish, iguanas, eels, red snapper, seahorse, stingray, juvenile squid, and jellyfish! We hope to make it back someday (as a family!).

Came across Sol Bungalows while researching overwater bungalows in the Caribbean or Central America and I'm happy I did! I'd previously stayed at overwater bungalows in the South Pacific and was seeking a similar vibe. This place is a quaint option for exploring Bocas Del Toro and perfect if you're looking to relax, but also be an easy boat ride way from exploring the surrounding islands, mangroves and beaches. My visit to Sol Bungalows was also my very first time in Bocas Del Toro. For a relatively small town, Bocas can be kind of a party scene - which isn't a bad thing - but since that wasn't what we were looking to do on this trip, we were especially happy that Sol Bungalows is located away from Bocas town, just a quick 5-minute 5-dollar boat ride across across the water. If you're packing light you can walk 10 minutes from the Bocas Del Toro airport to the boat landing so provided your water taxi leaves soon after you book it, you can be off the plane and at checkin in less than 30 minutes. There are four bungalows at the property. The bungalows are clean and decently spacious. Depending on when you go and the conditions, you may even get lucky seeing some cool animals while snorkeling off your bungalow. Drew, the owner mentioned there are nurse sharks that hang out nearby. We saw some cool fish but the visibility was a bit tough during our stay. That said, this did not take away from the fun/enjoyment of splashing into the water right off your patio. You can use SUPs and Kayaks for free, and if you don't have your own snorkeling mask, two are provided in each room for use while on the property. Breakfast is included with your stay and you can optionally choose to pay for dinner there. The food is very tasty and fresh. I also appreciate that the portions are sized well - they try and make everything from the food from their farm, so most everything is organic and you won't feel weighed down by a bunch of food. The team is wonderful - special shout out to Kiki who does a little bit of everything and was very gregarious. The owners - Tamara and Drew - are also great. They are on site and are super helpful in helping set up tours, transportation and everything. I'd describe Sol Bungalows as 'elevated simplicity' and it's impressive how well-run and friendly this place is. In summary - great value (price for our two-night stay was more than fair) and we are very likely to return. You won't be disappointed with your decision to stay here. Protip: Highly recommend enlisting the help of the team to set up any tours as it 1) takes out the headache of doing it yourself allowing you to just relax at the property, 2) it's affordable and 3) will allow you to assess the weather the day before (or of) to make sure it'll be a worthwhile excursion.

There's a reason this place has all 5 star reviews. The communication before, during and after our trip was top notch. Drew, Tamara and Kiki are exceptional hosts. The small size of this B&B means you'll get personal service and we loved having dinner with our bungalow friends to hear what adventures they had each day. The chef deserves high praise as the food was exceptional. Getting a couples massage on the deck of our bungalow was also a highlight. Do yourself a favor and book this beautiful place! Thank you all and we hope to return soon.

We had the most amazing time at Sol Bungalows. From the minute we booked, I was able to have my questions answered and worries eased. We traveled to Bocas in January 2025 and stayed for 4 nights at Sol. I wish we would have stayed longer since we had such an amazing experience. The bungalows themselves were so well appointed! Huge waterfall shower, super comfy bed, fridge, but the deck space is the real star of the show. We loved the hammock and snorkeling right from the porch with the artificial reefs showing all sorts of underwater critters including two nurse sharks. I think the most pleasantly surprising detail of our stay was the FOOD. I expected the food (breakfasts and dinners) to be good but they were incredible. True 5 star quality! So many of the ingredients were local (right from their farm) or made by their neighbors. What a treat to have sustainably sourced ingredients prepared in such an artful and tasty way. Drew, Tamara, and Kiki made us feel so welcome and their hospitality was amazing. I'm going to be dreaming to Kiki's coffee service every day! Thank you for creating amazing memories
